Jeff Moore, Director

Jeff Moore is the director of choral studies and percussion at Brighton High School. He received his degree from The University of Tennessee at Martin where he studied under Dr. Julie Hill. While at the University of Tennessee, he was a member of several ensembles including jazz, marching, wind, percussion, and steel drum. Mr. Moore also participated in the numerous choir ensembles offered at Martin and took a year of private vocal lessons under vocal instructor Dr. Roberto Mancusi. In 2011, Mr. Moore toured the country playing drum set with One Less Reason, an independent music act from Memphis, TN. Through One Less Reason, Mr. Moore gained professional performance experience and shared the stage with famous acts such as 3 Doors Down, Fuel, and Hinder.

Mr. Moore’s teaching philosophy primarily revolves around discipline and passion. “Talent you are born with, but skill is earned. Through hard work and perseverance anything can be achieved. I am just here to guide you through the steps to greatness.” Mr. Moore lives in Atoka with his wife, Lyndsie, and their son.
