2026 Disney Trip

As announced at the 2024 November Booster Meeting, the Brighton High School Band intends to travel to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, during the spring of 2026. Since this trip will take place during the 2025-2026 school year, current eighth-grade students through eleventh-grade students who will be enrolled in the band will have the opportunity to attend and perform. We are working with Alyssa Hosking of Bob Rogers Travel for trip planning. We are still in the early stages of planning for the trip. More information about the trip will be released over time as the trip gets closer, including a finalized itinerary, trip rules, airline/TSA rules, etc. For now, we are getting things started to make this the best trip possible for all involved. Important Dates:

  • Sign-up Deadline: February 5

  • First Deposit Due: Wednesday, February 12

  • Final Payment Deadline: Mid-February 2026

  • Disney Trip Dates: March 15-March 18, 2026

Important Notes:

  • Please be sure to read through all of the information in the links.

  • Bob Rogers Travel is handling all payments for this trip. Payments will not be paid through the boosters, school, or directors. Please read through the Payment Information information above.

  • Please read through the TripMate information and consider the option of the enhanced plan. In the event of a cancellation, these plans may come in handy. In 2020, when a Disney trip was planned, the trip had to be canceled due to COVID-19; a plan such as this one could provide a substantial refund. Let us hope that it is not needed and that the trip runs smoothly!

  • Due to our Band Boosters being a 501(c)(3) organization, we are unable to create individual student accounts to assist students in fundraising toward their individual balances. It is illegal. However, we are exploring avenues to help all our band students with trip expenses. Please attend our February Booster Meeting on February 11th at 7:00 PM in the BHS Band Room to participate in a proactive discussion.

  • Student band fee balances must be paid in full by the time of departure for the trip.

  • The Brighton High School Band still has the expectation of being a competitive marching band and high-achieving concert band next school year. While small adjustments in programming and rehearsing will be made for a spring parade, the band program will still operate at full capacity and to the best of our ability during the 2025-2026 school year. The new band high school handbook will be made available in early March. Band fees for the 2025-2026 school year will be maintained at the current rate of $550; these fees are still substantially lower than most other local schools.   • It is important for students to keep up with their grades, have good discipline, and have good attendance to participate in this trip. This includes attendance at band camp, band rehearsals, and band performances. Although this issue has not come forward for band students on previous major trips, it has for other organizations.   • In the event any issue arises, BHS, TCS, Brighton Band, or any person associated with any of these groups/organizations are not responsible for refunding any part of the trip fee.
