All-West Auditions - Middle School

• Middle school band students can only audition for Middle School/Junior High Band auditions.

• The audition will consist of a prepared piece performed in its entirety, two major scales that will be selected by the audition committee, the chromatic scale, and sight reading.

• All scales must be memorized. Major scales for the junior high band audition will be selected from Ab, Eb, Bb, F, C, G, and A major scales; the scales are to be performed on the student’s pitch on the instrument (non-transposed). Click Here for the appropriate scale sheet for junior high bands.

• The auditions for the 2024-2025 school year will take place on January 11th at South Gibson County Middle School. Students will receive their audition time much closer to the event.

• The cost to audition for band is $10. This money will be taken up closer to the audition.
